Who Can Apply? (Pre-Matric & Post-Matric Eligibility)

The eligibility criteria set by Government of Karnataka for SSP Pre-Matric and Post-Matric Scholarship 2025 are given below:

Pre-Matric Scholarship (Classes 1–10)

Students must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Must be a permanent resident of Karnataka.
  • Should belong to eligible communities — SC, ST, OBC, Minority, or EWS, depending on the scheme.
  • Must be studying in a govt verified school.
  • Annual family income must fall with in the limit as mentioned in the official notification.
  • Aadhaar number must be linked to a bank account in the student’s name.

Scholarship Benefits: What Students Will Receive

The financial benefits provided by the SSP scholarship based on category and academic level are listed below:

Pre-Matric Benefits

  • SC/ST students receive ₹1,000 for boys and ₹1,100 for girls annually.
  • Students of Classes 9 and 10 who stay in hostels may receive ₹3,000 to ₹7,000.
  • OBC students may receive up to ₹5,000, depending on class and school type.

How to Apply Online for SSP Scholarship 2025

To apply for the SSP Scholarship 2025 follow the given below steps carefully applicants need to meet the eligibility criteria:

Step 1: Visit the website ssp.postmatric.karnataka.gov.in.

Step 2: Select the registration option and enter Aadhaar number mobile number and email ID and generated User ID and password to log in.

Step 3: Enter your name date of birth caste details and Aadhaar information and provide class or course details roll number institute name and year of study.

Step 4: Upload required documents which includes: Aadhaar card, Bank passbook, Income certificate, Caste certificate, Previous year marksheet and Hostel verification (if applicable)

Step 5: Check all data before submitting and submit your status regularly on the portal.

How the Selection & Verification Process Works

The scholarship approval goes through multiple verification steps:

  1. Institute Verification: The school or college validates the student’s details and documents.
  2. e-Attestation & Aadhaar Authentication: Documents are cross-verified digitally for accuracy and authenticity.
  3. Department Approval: The department checks eligibility criteria and income documentation.
  4. DBT Fund Transfer: Approved students receive scholarship money directly into their bank accounts.
